Responsible for Vilera’s production and sound engineering, Kade Kalka is a multi-faceted instrumentalist, mix engineer, and composer with a formal education background in audio engineering at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas. Since graduating with an associate’s degree in audio and a specialization in live sound, she has found herself living in New Orleans, Louisiana to further her audio career.
She is known for being highly motivated and entrenched in many areas of specialty, composing and producing 8-string progressive metal, videogame-inspired desktop music, and playful forays into Japanese mathrock-inspired emo and pop-punk music. At the core of it all, is her interest in writing and producing fun, cohesive, and succinct music that leaves an emotional impact.
Kade has released six solo albums in the past 5 years, all of which being entirely written, recorded, and produced by herself; including artwork. The most recent of which being Beautiful Noise; an eclectic combination of metal and emo, with a focus on pop songwriting and vocal performance.
While she is a producer first, her passion for playing guitar, bass, drums, and vocals runs deep, serving as a valuable asset in uplifting her development as a composer and producer.
